KNOX, Ind. (WNDU) – In Starke County, a significant portion of Indiana’s largest photo voltaic panel is ready to start industrial operations this summer time.
Today Doral Renewables hosted a ceremony for “Mammoth North Solar,” which is part of the photo voltaic farm, “Mammoth Solar Project.”
The Mammoth Solar Project has been within the works since 2019. At 400 megawatts, it’ll present power to greater than 75,000 houses.
This was made attainable by farmers who leased their land for a thirty-year contract.
“A dream come true. Not only for me however for the entire group. Everyone on this group helps this mission. We have 75 household landowners on this mission and we’re all working exhausting on this,” mentioned Nick Cohen, President and CEO of Doral Renewables.
