Interest in long-duration power storage (LDES) is growing quickly because the demand for clear dependable capability grows. In the US, new funding was introduced this week in an effort to push varied LDES applied sciences towards industrial viability.
The Office of Clean Energy Demonstrations (OCED) of the US Department of Energy (DOE) issued a Notice of Intent (NOI) on Tuesday for as much as $100 million to fund pilot-scale power storage demonstration tasks , specializing in non-lithium applied sciences, 10+ hour discharge programs, and non-volatile storage functions.
