Solar panels lately put in on the roofs of Groton Middle School and Mystic River Magnet School are anticipated to avoid wasting Groton Public Schools $40,000 a yr, based on the Connecticut Green Bank.

Groton Middle School has 560 panels, and Mystic River Magnet School has 256.
