PLANS to put in a big photo voltaic panel array within the grounds of a rustic park in Port Glasgow are being thought of by Inverclyde Council planners.
Proposals to put in a 150kw array on an space of roughly 0.1 hectare within the Finlaystone Country Park Estate have been lodged with the native authority.
The utility states that the panels will probably be positioned in three ranges of about 50 meters and will probably be surrounded by a fence.
It is said that the brand new panels will present inexperienced power to the Finlaystone Estate.
The proposed website for the array is 200 meters from the present substation in a low-grade subject that’s stated to not be seen from any home or ‘formal half’ of the land.
The land is generally flat.
Technical paperwork submitted with the applying say the panels will probably be positioned on the bottom and angled to catch the solar.
