Female entrepreneurs are breaking ground in tech startups, usually considered male-dominated territory. Female founders, while marginal compared to men in tech, are disrupting the industry in many areas with breakthrough technology and innovation.
Youth industry readiness
Anubhi Khandelwal has worked in the UK for over 5 years as an automation specialist for Siemens before returning to India to found Terafac Technologies in Chandigarh in September 2021.
An in-house designed industrial miniature called TFT Ed-Rig to help prepare India’s youth industry by enabling Industry 4.0 and smart manufacturing learning through the latest technologies such as IOT, Augmented Reality and Smart Sensors. A vision to do was incorporated.
Terafac Technologies now works with universities and technical institutions to help set up excellent labs and innovation centers where students can experience and play with real industry while pursuing technology courses.

Dr (Ms) Munna Bhattacharya (Biotechnologist) and Dr Sudip Ghosh (Pharmaceutical Scientist) co-founded Breww Therapeutics, a Mohali-based research-based biotechnology startup. We are involved in developing the world’s first product (patent pending) from fermented fruit and vegetable cider for health and personal care. They’ve already launched products called Danella All-Purpose Hair Tonic for controlling dandruff and Brew Hair Serum for controlling hair loss.
“The products are completely natural, paraben-free and 100% effective,” says Dr. Bhattacharya.

Dr. Gouri Jayamurugan is the founder of Bio Sunscreen. “For the past 10 years, I have worked in laboratories that produce organic compounds. Working with chemicals is my passion. is in progress,” she said.
