Rigetti Computing has appointed Dr. Subodh Kulkarni as President and Chief Executive Officer. He will succeed Dr. Chad Righetti, who is leaving the company. Dr. Kulkarni is President and CEO of Cyber Optics Corporation, a manufacturer of high-precision sensors and inspection systems for the semiconductor and electronics industries, which was acquired by Nordson Corporation in November. Dr. Kulkarni holds a Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering from IIT, Bombay and MS, and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from MIT. Orca Computing appoints Per Nyberg as Chief Sales Officer. Previously, he was Vice President of Strategic Markets and Alliances at Quantum Machines. Prior to that, he had over 16 years at Cray, Inc. and over 11 years at NEC, with many years of experience in the field of High Performance Computing (HPC). Nyberg will be responsible for leading Orca’s go-to-market efforts and establishing a long-term partnership for the company’s photonic technology and proprietary quantum memory.
