US Politicians Aggressively Promote Bitcoin and Blockchain

The growing adoption of Bitcoin in the US was the focus of a recent session on the popular YouTube channel Simply Bitcoin. In this session, we looked at some recent reports on US states looking to adopt Bitcoin. It protects not only Bitcoin, but also related activities that support cryptocurrencies.

Leading the way in this direction is Texas, the so-called “Bitcoin Nation.” The state had already released an 84-page government report in favor of full Bitcoin support.

A report prepared by the “Working Group on Blockchain Issues” states that Texas should buy bitcoin, pass a self-administered protection law that includes tax breaks from mining, and introduce bitcoin education in schools. It also included a recommendation.

Former Texas Energy Grid leader Brad Jones has reportedly praised the emergence of multiple Bitcoin miners in the state. According to him, it helped solve the lingering challenge of balancing the grid by taking the majority of the energy produced.
