Friday at 8pm: Loop 303 will be closed until January
The Arizona Department of Transportation announced that highway construction will close the westbound section of Loop 303 starting next weekend.
According to ADOT, the first closure will take place from 4:00 a.m. on Jan. 7 to 11:00 p.m. on January 8, between Interstate 17 and Lake Pleasant Parkway.
According to ADOT, drivers should use a different route, including westbound Route 74, to southbound Lake Pleasant and connect to Route 303 past the closure.
Portions of 303 will also close westbound between I-17 and Lake Pleasant from 8:00 pm on January 13 to 5:00 am on January 16, according to ADOT.
Loop 303’s I-17 off-ramp will be limited to eastbound Sonoran Desert Drive, but the road’s westbound access to the Sonoran Desert northbound and southbound I-17 ramps will remain open. increase.
ADOT also announced intermittent closures of Loop 303 between Interstate 17 and Lake Pleasant from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays through the end of January. said.

Friday 11am: Oak Hill Snow Play Area near Williams closed
The Kaibab National Forest Service tweeted Friday morning that the Oak Hill Snow Play Area, about a 14-minute drive from Williams, was closed for public safety.
They said work was being done to “reduce hazardous fuels and mitigate wildfire risk.”

Friday 11am: Cooper Road and Elliott Road intersection closed in Gilbert

Grand Canyon National Park announced that Desert View Drive (California Route 64) between Grand Canyon Village and Desert View has reopened after being closed for most of the early morning hours. However, Hermit Road remains closed.
