The TSPL gained early traction with a highly successful team auction program held last month. The program allowed startups to market their businesses and cricket skills, attracting large TiE charter members to bid and buy these startups for his cricket team.
Dr Ravi Modani, President of TiE Rajasthan, said the team works together to achieve goals, targets and missions and to match this nothing beats sport. This was evident when the players put all their sweat and energy into it, mentally and physically to make sure their team would win. This is like protecting the reputation of the company.
He added that since the auction program, besides practicing together for the TSPL Box Cricket League, the startup and its team owners have held multiple meetings outside the cricket grounds to discuss business synergies. We are starting to see early results. Two startups have provided equity to the team owner for mentoring his business. Meanwhile, one of his participating startups associates performance ratings of his members with his team’s performance at the TSPL, he said.
Event organizer Ravi Goenka said the response to the TSPL has been amazing. Not only founders and large companies, but even employees of different companies exchange ideas and knowledge in their respective business his domain. TiE Rajasthan is considering taking the TSPL to the next level and making it an annual activity. TSPL aims for more than cricket, and we are happy to offer these startups the opportunity to network with big companies, mentors and investors.
