According to the request, “combatants and third-party software development teams will be able to explore, transform, and analyze data within the platform’s core tools, the platform’s application programming interfaces, and application development tools.”
Space Command is looking for commercial software solutions that can be delivered through an “as-a-service” model built on the Amazon Web Services cloud environment.
The five-year contract is worth $950 million, according to the solicitation, and Space Command plans to announce up to 20 awards. In addition, Contractor will provide software licenses, training and support services under this agreement.
Space Command uses the best value source selection method and evaluates bids based on two factors: commercial software solutions and technical approaches. According to the solicitation, bidders must obtain an “acceptable rating” on factor 1 in order to move on to factor 2.
The deadline for proposals is February 17th.
