RealDefense LLC, a company specializing in privacy and security applications and services, has completed the acquisition of SUPERAntiSpyware from Support.com for an undisclosed amount.
This is the 24th technology M&A deal that MSSP Alert and sister site ChannelE2E have covered so far in 2023.
The deal marks RealDefense’s fifth acquisition of a consumer software brand since 2017, the company said in a prepared statement.
Based in Pasadena, California, RealDefense has 30 employees, according to LinkedIn. Founded in 2004, his SUPERAntiSpyware is known for its AI-powered malware detection engine and database. His flagship product has over 65 million downloads and over 1 million active users.
According to RealDefense, the acquisition will allow Support.com to focus on its core business of providing technical support solutions.
