Things are heating up in the BSV blockchain world, the collapse of the “crypto house of cards” is underway, and a new level of excitement is hitting the ecosystem as we enter the new year. Today, we’ll take a look at the buzz surrounding the SmartLedger, especially the Proof of Concept (POC) development news and expansion into the burgeoning Middle East market.
As Zack Resnick said at The Unbounded Capital Summit in New York last September, the game is about showing and telling the world what BSV can do. It’s about creating utilities. This is what the team behind SmartLedger is doing with the long list of POCs that will soon be published to MVPs.
What is the SmartLedger, anyway?
SmartLedger is an enterprise blockchain solutions and bespoke app development company with a particular focus on the BSV blockchain and its unique ability to extend and power the world of micro- and nano-payments. Greg Ward, the chief developer of his SmartLedger, which is also a musician, shared some of the innovations behind his eight POCs, which he put together in a matter of days, and the role blockchain technology plays in each. I am happy to share some details.
As Joshua Henslee explained in an interview with Bryan Daugherty of SmartLedger, the purpose of exploding so many POCs in the new year is to use examples to get creative thinking and what blockchain technology can enhance. to ignite ideas about
We’ll start with PoCs Rare Generation and Streamable FM. Both focus on improving the music industry for artists and consumers by prioritizing digital rights management and streaming.
“Rare Generation allows artists and publishers to publish content and designate ownership percentages on the public, immutable Bitcoin SV blockchain. will be made available to the public,” explained Ward.
“Leveraging Rare Generation’s on-chain publishing and digital rights management information, Streamable FM offers a global, latency-free content streaming service that pays writers and publishers instantly when listeners access their content. The service offers a significant increase in revenue per stream compared to Spotify and an immutable record of streaming payments,” he added.
The ability to transact with micropayments is one of the biggest innovations of Bitcoin (and the blockchain that underpins it), and both micro/nano payments and microtransactions are at the core of Rare Generation and Streaming FM.
“The ability to send micropayments allows Rare Generation users to divide their content ownership percentage into one percentage. FM can instantly pay stakeholders sub-cent fees without middlemen or friction,” said Ward.
“By removing the barriers that traditional streaming platforms have, Streamable FM can offer content creators many times more revenue than Spotify,” he confirmed.
A unique feature of these two POCs, in addition to the remaining six on the list, is that they are accessible to users via a universal HandCash login. We asked Ward to elaborate on the benefits of logging in via HandCash and how this simplifies the process for users.
“Universal Login makes it easy for users to take advantage of the capabilities of scalable blockchain technology: secure digital asset ownership and transfer, identity verification, micropayments, and more,” he said.
“Single sign-on solutions such as HandCash and other paymail providers allow users to easily access the power of blockchain without having to remember long private keys or sets of 12 words. adoption will accelerate,” he noted.
“SmartLeder is actively building its own single sign-on solution/multi-pass enterprise BSV wallet called E2. We are currently using this wallet for other applications, TicketMint and Certihash, as a wealth management and identity solution.” We do,” Ward clarified.
In addition to these music industry applications, Ward is working on six additional POCs in its pipeline, all on their way to becoming an MVP.
Verified Votes is a revolutionary new application that allows users to create custom campaigns and votes and publish them on the blockchain for a permanent and verifiable data record. Campaign creators are given a unique, verified votes.org/campaign URL to share, participate, and post their votes on the blockchain with other users. This can be used for board meetings, verifiable social media voting, etc.
Metameet is an encrypted and verifiable blockchain-based communication tool. Users can generate unique encryption/decryption keys and URLs to share with others. Blockchain and mempool can be used to create instant, encrypted and verifiable messaging chains. It can be used for contract negotiation, SNS, security, etc.
VanitySV was an application written and built in less than a few hours. Users will enjoy seeing if they can find their custom BSV address. It costs 5000k Satoshi for every 5000 guesses.
FilterSV is a customizable blockchain search tool that allows users to select phrases and monitor the mempool in real time to see filtered transactions. For example, users can enter the terms “twetch” or “streamablefm”.
Satosender is a recently released application that serves as a Bitcoin SV faucet and giveaway platform. Users can access and log in to Satosender every day to receive 5000k Satoshi. When users register for the first time, they are eligible to win 50k Satoshi giveaways every day, with the chance to win NFTs, music and other prizes.
Paycircles is a blockchain-powered value sharing platform that allows users to create recipient paymail handles and percentage circles, publish circles to the blockchain, and call them in the future to pay recipient circles. am.

In addition to all the development work Ward has been busy with, SmartLedger subsidiary Blockchain Smart Technologies recently opened an office in Dubai to enable expansion into the booming Middle East.
So why did they choose Dubai over other hotspots in the region?
“Modern Dubai is one of the Middle East’s most dynamic and attractive business technology hubs. said Eva Porras, CEO of Blockchain Smart Technologies.
“Dubai announced in 2018 that the emirate’s vice president and prime minister, His Highness Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, launched the UAE Blockchain Strategy 2021, emphasizing the emirate’s path of ‘Dubai never compromises’. Already started to stand out in 2018 after setting it up.
“We have established ourselves in Dubai because we share this vision and want to be part of a group of people who will not settle for a second role in leading this technological revolution,” said Porras. added.
