Warner Robins, GA — Robins Air Force Base is looking for full-time engineering and computer science employees.
The 402nd Software Engineering Group invites anyone with a bachelor’s degree in any field to help support the base.
“We’re looking for computer scientists, computer engineers, electrical engineers, software engineers, so if you’re looking for those qualifications,” says Sarah Martin.
Robert Hill is the group’s supervisor and says the work is endless.
“We have a wide variety of jobs, a wide variety of projects, and we deal with everything from ISR ground systems (intelligence surveillance awareness) to embedded radar systems. We do the whole range.” says Hill.
This group is responsible for creating state-of-the-art technology to support the missions of America’s combatants.
“It’s bigger than ourselves, bigger than the products we make. It’s national security, and what we’re doing abroad is helping combatants.” adds Hill.
All my work efforts are to keep up with technological advances from abroad.
“We strive to stay ahead of our competitors, and every software engineer here contributes to that every day,” he says.
Daily work includes working with programs such as Java and Python, and working with artificial intelligence.
“We are automating a lot of what was previously manual and eliminating human error wherever possible,” adds Hill.
They welcome anyone with a bachelor’s degree to come out.
“If you have experience in the military, any branch of the military, veterans, whatever it is, we love to see it and we love having you on base,” Martin says. .
