Recently, PLDT and Smart’s Cyber Security Operations Group (CSOG) met with third-party vendors and service providers to discuss ways to further protect the PLDT Group’s enhanced cybersecurity drive.

Redoble shared the group’s response process for cybersecurity concerns and identified instances where vendors can help contain threats before they cause chaos. He further emphasized the need for rapid action once alarms are triggered.
“Containing an incident within two minutes is critical. We need to establish processes with vendors so that we can respond quickly to cyberattacks and avoid crises,” said Redoble.
In 2022, CSOG thwarted over 182 million attacks and compromise attempts against its assets. As the PLDT Group embarks on a customer-centric transformation, Redoble emphasized that customer protection is a top priority.
