United Airlines “worked to ensure that the puppy met the necessary requirements for entry into the United States, including the quarantine period,” the nonprofit said in a release.
After completing quarantine, the pup found a forever home with United Airlines captain William Dale, according to the release. Held an adoption party. The company also donated $5,000 to support the mission of the San Francisco SPCA.
“United’s customer service team has taken considerable challenges to ensure Polaris finds a safe, healthy and loving home.
“From the moment Polaris landed, the entire SFO United team looked after him 24/7 and was able to obtain permission to keep him safe within the United States.
“With this story coming full circle, it feels great that Polaris can have a loving home with United Airlines Captain Dale and his family just in time for the holidays.”
