Reynoldsburg, Ohio (WCMH) – Police officers in the city of Reynoldsburg have reported that NBC4i.com was blocked on a department-owned computer.
Officers reported this anonymously, fearing repercussions from Reynoldsburg police leadership.
The report was part of NBC4’s ongoing coverage of alleged class turmoil in the RPD and featured officers speaking on record about low morale and retaliatory leadership.
Mayor Joe Begheny said NBC4i.com was not blocked on his work computer and questioned whether any of the affected devices were owned by the city or its police.

NBC4 began hearing reports Thursday that the site had been blocked, but the same people were able to access other local news sites. You landed on a page with an error message containing the words “tunnel connection failed” indicating that it was blocked by your administrator.
As of Wednesday morning, NBC4 was still receiving reports of the website being blocked. When asked when access to NBC4i.com was first banned, a representative said he did not know.
Brian Marvin, a former Reynoldsburg detective who investigated cybercrime and helped manage certain IT systems for the department, said third-party vendors handle the city’s IT services.
