Muscat: Omantel, a leading provider of integrated telecommunications services in the country of Oman, has announced the names of Omani start-ups selected for the second cohort of the Omantel Accelerator program managed by Omantel Innovation Labs.
Cohort 2 of the Omantel Accelerator includes 3 startups selected from over 100 startups who applied online after the public call. These startups were selected through a rigorous selection process that included bootcamps and interviews with experts inside and outside of his Omantel.
Selected startups are AirGo, iON and Touchpoints, helping technology professionals enhance the customer journey.
AirGo is a modern high-tech company founded in 2020, leading Oman’s drone industry by providing intelligent services and products. AirGo offers an unmanned traffic management system named Tahleeq in Oman.
It operates as a platform-as-a-service that enables businesses, government agencies, and educational institutions to avoid the operational risks, regulatory challenges, and capital expenditures associated with drone operations.
iON is a platform for posting products/services on social media, creating and customizing private online stores, managing product inventory, managing payments and shipping from multiple sales channels, and customer chat centers on various social media platforms.
Touchpoints provides smart retail technology solutions that improve customer experience and increase loyalty, including digital signage, big data and analytics, facial recognition and audience measurement, programmatic advertising, and smart retail implementations.
The second cohort also includes two startups selected from Omantel’s recently launched internal innovation program Fikra. Sayyad is a fishing one-stop shop where sellers and buyers across Oman can connect, trade and deliver goods and services. is a CX management software provider that uses data insights to create opportunities.

In addition to the Omantel Accelerator, the Omantel Innovation Lab is working with the Central Bank of Oman to accelerate fintech startups in the Central Bank of Oman’s Fintech Accelerator and manage startup incubation for the National Upgrade Program. To support the wider ecosystem, Omantel Innovation Labs hosts hackathons, bootcamps, and multiple free workshops on topics related to tech entrepreneurship throughout the year.
