Bahrain – SANS Institute and Labor Fund (Tamkeen), a world-renowned provider of cybersecurity training, has launched the second phase of its cyber reskilling program in Bahrain.
Following the success of Phase 1 in 2022, SANS and Tamkeen will continue their strategic partnership to enable 60 students to attain GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC) and GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) certifications in the same period We provide two programs to help you.
“The success of the program speaks for itself. With 40% of our students scoring 90pc or higher on the GSEC and GCIH exams, and 82pc and 86pc passing their respective exams on their first attempt, this training has proven to be a success for our students. It’s clear that we provide the tools we need to achieve our cybersecurity goals,” said Ned Baltagi, Managing Director, Middle East and Africa, SANS.
Ali Hasan, Executive Director of Programs and Partnership Development at Tamkeen said, “Tamkeen is proud to be the first group of Bahraini students to participate in the Cyber Reskilling Programme.
“Their knowledge, dedication and exemplary commitment have contributed to the success of this initiative and demonstrated the potential of Bahraini talent in this niche,” he added.
As the volume of cyberattacks increases after Covid-19’s massive shift to remote work, the demand for qualified cybersecurity specialists and professionals in the country is increasing, both from businesses and governments.
Khalifa Yaseen, a student who successfully graduated from the first Cyber Reskilling Programme, earned an invitation to the GIAC Advisory Board for his score.
“Through this program, I had the opportunity to interact with various companies and introduce myself. I also secured the opportunity to develop my skills in this area with Beyond Cyber.” In just eight weeks, Cyber The Reskilling Program opens several prospects for personal, professional growth and development in a variety of junior cybersecurity roles.
