Salinas, Calif. (KION-TV): On Thursday afternoon, Salinas nonprofits were named 2022 PGA TOUR Charity of the Year.
Loaves, Fishes and Computers were stunned by the recognition from Steve John, CEO and Tournament Director of the Monterey Peninsula Foundation.
“The LFC will provide particularly meaningful technology and digital literacy assistance that serves a broad population across our three county regions,” John said in a statement.
This nonprofit received a $30,000 grant from the PGA Tour. LFC was founded in 2009 to help address the widening digital divide across Monterey County.
This organization offers families low-cost or free computer, tech support, computer repair, and digital fluency instruction.
