Crash detection is exclusive to the iPhone 14 and the new Apple Watch.
As Apple explains, the feature automatically detects car crashes (of certain car models) and calls emergency services using both your iPhone and Apple Watch.
According to Apple, “With a new dual-core accelerometer capable of detecting G-force measurements up to 256G and a new high dynamic range gyroscope, Crash Detection on iPhone detects serious car crashes, allowing users to automatically respond to emergencies. You can now dial a service, either unconscious or out of reach of your iPhone.”
Crash detection is currently available for iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Pro, Apple Watch Series 8, Apple Watch SE (2nd generation), and Apple Watch Ultra.
