Last week, Apple released iOS 16.2 Release Candidate for developers. This is basically the final developer beta version of the software and should be the same version that will be released to everyone.
We’ve previously seen a video of the new iOS 16.2 Release Candidate in action, and here’s a follow-up video from Zollotech that details the software.
As you can see from the video, this software update brings many new features to iPhone.
New features added to iPhone in this release include the new Apple Music Sing feature. There’s also the new Freeform app, a cross-platform collaboration app for drawing, sketching, and note-taking.
iOS 16.2 software also includes new end-to-end encryption features for iCloud and its suite of apps, as well as new advanced data protection features for iCloud announced last week.
Apple plans to release the final version of iOS 16.2 this week, which should be released alongside iPadOS 16.2, macOS Ventura 13.1, and watchOS 9.2. We’ll let you know as soon as we know the exact release date details.
