Chinese battery power storage firm Hithium and Saudi agency MANAT, based by former Saudi Aramcos chief engineer Nabilah AlTunisi, introduced the formation of a three way partnership – Hithium MANAT, on the 2024 Solar and Storage Live KSA occasion in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. , earlier this week.

The new partnership goals to construct a battery power storage system (BESS) manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia with an annual capability of 5 GWh.

The three way partnership will leverage Hithium’s manufacturing experience and MANAT’s understanding of the native market and buyer base to higher serve Saudi Arabia’s quickly rising power storage wants. Details of the funding plan and development timeline weren’t disclosed by Hithium.
