The US-based automotive manufacturing firm General Motors (GM) has introduced that its GM Energy unit has launched a modular power storage system for residential purposes.

“GM Energy is increasing its portfolio with the launch of the GM Energy PowerBank, a stationary storage product that offers EV house owners the facility to retailer and switch power from the grid, and the choice to combine with solar energy gear,” the corporate stated in a press release.

The system is obtainable in two variations with a capability of 10.6 kWh and 17.7 kWh, respectively, and could be scaled to achieve a capability of as much as 35.4 kWh, which the producer says can produce roughly 20 hours of financial savings, which rely on the typical day by day dwelling. Appliance power use within the United States is roughly 30 kWh.
