Better Energy has signed a PPA with Danish round meals packaging provider Faerch for a brand new photo voltaic park in southern Finland.

The undertaking, which can be constructed on a former parking zone close to Hanko, will generate 38 GW per yr and is ready for grid connection in 2026. It is being developed with none subsidies.

Under the phrases of the settlement, Faerch will use the power to cowl 70% of its electrical energy wants in Finland.

This marks Better Energy’s first PPA in Finland, following an settlement final yr with Faerch for photo voltaic power from Poland. Faerch Group CFO Tom Sand-Kristensen mentioned the corporate is working to have renewable power PPAs in place in any respect of its websites.

As of April 2024, Better Energy has PPAs with 39 corporations throughout Denmark, Poland, and Sweden.
