IndiGrid, India’s first and largest listed energy sector infrastructure funding belief (InvIT), says it has partnered with BII, Norwegian Climate Investment Fund (Norfund), and Techno Electric and Engineering (Techno) to develop the greenfield interstate transmission system of IndiGrid ( ISTS) tasks.
In fiscal 2024, IndiGrid moved its first greenfield ISTS undertaking, Kallam Transmission, and gained 5 extra tasks, throughout ISTS and battery power storage system (BESS), to be deployed within the subsequent 12 to 24 months.
Under this partnership, BII and Norfund will spend money on three IndiGrid ISTS tasks: Ishanagar Power Transmission Ltd. (IPTL), Dhule Power Transmission Ltd. (DPTL), and Kallam Transco Ltd. (KTCO). These tasks are anticipated to assist the displacement of 6 GW of renewable power within the states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra.
In addition, Techno will co-develop IPTL and DPTL tasks. It invests minority capital and can be chargeable for the complete implementation of tasks on a lump sum turnkey foundation. IndiGrid will purchase the whole stake in these tasks as soon as they turn out to be operational and generate income.
