Lightsource bp’s first photo voltaic venture in Poland began industrial operations.

The 40 MW photo voltaic venture in Kotuń, a village in east-central Poland, has reached a significant milestone, as Lightsource bp signed a long-term PPA with Microsoft. The settlement helps Microsoft’s purpose of attaining 100% renewable power provide by 2025.

“Solar power performs a giant function in Poland’s power transition and the photo voltaic tasks we’re creating are a part of this historic change,” stated Michał Głowacki, nation head for Lightsource bp in Poland. “The Kotuń photo voltaic farm reaching industrial operation is our first important contribution to the nation’s decarbonization targets.”
