Recurrent Energy has signed a 10-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with GKN Automotive, a worldwide chief in drive programs. This settlement will begin the annual manufacturing of roughly 200 GWh of renewable electrical energy, marking GKN Automotive’s first renewable power PPA in Europe.
Under this settlement, GKN Automotive will supply renewable power from Recurrent Energy’s Rey I Project, a 115 MWp photo voltaic PV venture positioned in Seville, Andalucia, Spain. Currently below development, Rey I is predicted to be totally operational within the first half of 2026, with Recurrent Energy proudly owning and working the venture thereafter.
The Rey I Project reinforces Spain’s management in renewable power, producing roughly 240 GWh of unpolluted power yearly—sufficient to energy 73,000 houses within the area and offset roughly 197,000 metric tons of CO2 emissions.
