India’s MNRE has printed its up to date listing of authorised photo voltaic producers and PV modules. The panels within the listing adjust to the Bureau of Indian Standards and meet the ministry’s module effectivity standards.

The whole module capability listed in ALMM has exceeded 50 GW. The listing is dominated by monocrystalline passivated emitter and rear contact (PERC) modules, but in addition consists of n-type tunnel oxide passivated contact (TOPCon) modules from producers reminiscent of Emmvee, Ganesh Green, Gautam Solar, Luminous Power, Mundra Solar, Pahal Solar. , Premier Energies, Rayzon Solar, RenewSys, and Waaree Energies.

MNRE has restored ALMM’s mandate from April 1, 2024. Only photo voltaic merchandise and ALMM producers authorised by MNRE are eligible for government-backed tasks. The coverage was launched by the MNRE to guard the home business from dumping Chinese merchandise.

The ALMM mandate provides home producers the chance to serve a big market by making a non-tariff barrier for Chinese merchandise.
