La Chorrera, Panama Oeste – CervecerÃa Nacional, a subsidiary of AB InBev, the world’s largest beer producer, introduced the set up of a solar energy plant at its La Chorrera distribution heart. This initiative is a part of the corporate’s ongoing efforts to transition to renewable power sources.

The new photo voltaic set up, applied by Celsia, consists of 251 photo voltaic panels, every with a capability of 560 W, with a complete of 140 kWp. The plant is anticipated to generate 192,039 kWh of electrical energy yearly.

This is the second distribution heart of CervecerÃa Nacional that operates on photo voltaic power, in step with the corporate’s strategic plan to transform 9 of its ten facilities in Panama to solar energy.

In 2022, CervecerÃa Nacional dedicated a $1.3 million funding to put in photovoltaic methods in 5 of its distribution facilities: Las Sabanas, La Chorrera, San Cristóbal, Chitré, and Santiago. This transfer underscores the corporate’s dedication to sustainability and decreasing its carbon footprint.
