Golden Triangle II Goes Into Commercial Operation

Origis Energy and the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) have reached business operation of Golden Triangle II, the primary of three photo voltaic plus storage initiatives within the firms’ Mississippi portfolio.

The 150 MW photo voltaic venture with 50 MW battery storage began producing electrical energy earlier this month.

“Solar power improves Mississippi’s financial competitiveness, and Origis is eradicating boundaries to a cleaner, brighter future by constructing the area’s clear power infrastructure,” stated Origis’ Johan Vanhee. “Golden Triangle II is step one in growing a zero-carbon economic system throughout the state that helps our nation’s financial and power objectives.”

Two different Origis initiatives in Mississippi are anticipated to be accomplished subsequent 12 months: Golden Triangle I, in Lowndes County, a 200 MW venture with 50 MW of battery storage; and Optimist, in Clay County, a 200 MW venture with 50 MW of battery storage.

Origis is growing, developing and working three initiatives for TVA, that are scheduled to supply energy underneath PPAs executed between the businesses.
