Fergus Falls, MN – Otter Tail Power Company held open-house model excursions of its Hoot Lake Solar facility on May twenty second and twenty third (Wednesday and Thursday).
Hoot Lake Solar is Otter Tail Power Company’s first large-scale capital funding (about $62 million) in photo voltaic technology.
The 49-megawatt photo voltaic technology facility in Fergus Falls has almost 130,000 photo voltaic panels that generate sufficient power to energy almost 9,000 properties every year.
After years of planning and 16 months of development, Hoot Lake Solar will start producing electrical energy in early 2023.
Tours happen from 11-1 and 4-7 on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
There will likely be a free-standing presentation, a photo voltaic panel and inverter demonstration, and a brief bus tour of the ability.
Parking is out there on website and excursions are anticipated to final roughly half an hour.
