New report shows rising entrepreneurship activity, sets goals for 2030
Barcelona, Spain, January 12, 2023 /PRNewswire/ — Companies founded by the IESE Business School community have created and funded 72,000 jobs worldwide. $11.8 billion in the capital as the school continues its expansion entrepreneurial ecosystemaccording to a new report.
This report measures the impact of IESE’s entrepreneurial activity over the past two decades and sets goals for 2030 in the field. The numbers are from Crunchbase, Dealroom, PitchBook, and LinkedIn, among others.

Concept of the whole program
IESE was the first European business school to teach entrepreneurship in its MBA program in 1974. 2030 goals aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals
The report also sets entrepreneurship goals for 2030, aligned with three of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. They are:
- Create 50,000 new jobs by helping 5,000 entrepreneurs launch startups and raise at least €500 million in venture investment (UN Goal #8 Decent Work and Economic Growth)
- Influencing 2,000 C-suite executives worldwide through IESE research and action (Partnerships to achieve UN Goal #17)
- Release 200 new publications related to search funds, corporate ventures, technology transfer and angel investments to foster innovation (UN Goal #9 Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure)
