By design, iPhones and iPads should automatically detect nearby Beats headphones in pairing mode. If the accessory has never been connected to your Apple device before, on-screen instructions will appear automatically. Like other Apple products, Beats accessories connected in this way can be signed in to iCloud and supported by other supported devices running iOS 10, macOS Sierra, watchOS 3, or later versions. If your iPhone or iPad can’t detect your Beats headphones, Apple recommends making sure the following are correct:
- Your Beats headphones are fully charged.

- The volume on your iPhone or iPad is turned up.
Once everything is set up properly, follow these alternate pairing instructions:
- Launch the Settings app and go to Bluetooth.
- Make sure Bluetooth is enabled.
- A list of discoverable devices is generated at the bottom of the page. Select your Beats headphones from there.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to add it to the list of devices connected to your iPhone or iPad.
