Signing up for regular services on your iPhone with your Apple ID is seamless, but forgetting everything you’re paying for is just as seamless.
Another detail to keep in mind is that free trials usually allow you to sign up and cancel immediately, continuing to use the entire trial period.
Below you’ll also find instructions on how to ensure your renewal receipts are enabled so that you receive an email reminder every time you make a subscription payment.
How to cancel a subscription on iPhone
in the settings
- open setting app
- your name at the top
- Tap subscription
- this will show you everything Active When expired Subscriptions associated with your Apple ID
- Tap any to cancel, change options, or view more information
- You can also turn it on/off renewal receipt Option to show reminders every time your subscription renews
- At the bottom, you may see a button to check if any of your Apple subscriptions are paid for through your wireless carrier.
When you end your subscription or free trial, Apple will let you know how long you can use it (already paid/free trial period).
Tips for parents: Subscriptions set up via a child’s device/another Apple ID will not appear under the Apple ID, even if they are paid for (using Family Sharing). Head over to your device and follow the steps above to verify those subscriptions.
