There have been quite a few case leaks as the Galaxy S23 is set to be announced in just two days. This ‘gadget case’ for the Galaxy S23 features rugged construction and a unique MagSafe-style connector for accessories.
The Galaxy S23 is set to follow the same pattern we’ve seen over the past few years. This includes three unique phones consisting of the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23+ and Galaxy S23 Ultra. . The Ultra follows the silhouette of the old notebook, with rounded corners and a flat design.
In addition to these three devices, Samsung plans to release a lineup of official cases ranging from silicone covers to synthetic leather options. The selection looks fine, but one genre was missing: rugged.
leaked Via TwitterThis new design is part of Samsung’s “Rugged Gadget Case with Stand” series for the Galaxy S23. The case will likely be available for all three versions of his S23, and the S23 and S23+ cases are slightly different from the Ultra, especially in the corner design. The entire case has a very tough design with bumper edges and easy attachment loops. This case looks like it could take a hit, or a seven.
That’s all fine, but what really catches the eye is the set of accessories that we think you could use with the case. Beneath that is a connector with a specific and unique design. This is something we haven’t seen on Samsung yet. This new adapter could be magnetic like Apple’s MagSafe tech, but you can’t tell from the photos. A small bump around the connector could also point to a physical connection that locks into place, similar to the marker on the top right of the connection mount, indicating a locking point. At the very least, the design resembles the magnetic connectors used on Peak Design cases.
In any case, this niche design was hidden until two days before Samsung’s launch event. We’ll have to wait for the price Samsung puts on the Galaxy S23’s Rugged Gadget Case.
