Next August, the Tillamook Chamber of Commerce is excited to host a six-day trip to Iceland to explore a rugged landscape filled with glaciers, waterfalls, volcanoes and mountains painted with striking color patterns. doing. If you’ve heard Iceland is ‘otherworldly’, now’s your chance to see it for yourself!
During the trip, we will spend 4 nights in selected hotels and enjoy 4 sightseeing tours with an expert local tour guide. Spend your first full day in historic Reykjavík, often referred to as ‘the greenest city on earth’, visiting the Old Town Centre, Parliament House, modern City Hall and more.
Then, soak up the atmosphere of city life before heading to the Golden Circle, Iceland’s most spectacular ring of natural wonders, containing one of Europe’s most powerful waterfalls. On your second day exploring the region’s natural beauty, you’ll also have lunch at the Fridheimar Farm, where fresh produce is grown in greenhouses heated by geothermal energy.
If that wasn’t enough, on day three, take a short trip to the South Coast to enjoy lush farmlands, stunning waterfalls, beaches, glaciers and picturesque villages. You’ll have the chance to stand behind the impressive Seljalandsfoss waterfall, view the majestic Eyjafjallajökull volcano, marvel at the beauty of the Solheimajökull glacier, and walk on the black sands of the south coast. .
There’s a lot to cover in just six days, but we’ve had some requests from community members for shorter trips, and Iceland was the perfect size destination to accommodate those requests. We also aimed for the end of the summer so that parents and teachers who are usually busy can participate for the first time. Needless to say, the weather in August is the best of the year.
When you’re ready to depart, book within the next 30 days and receive $100 off your trip. You can book online at www.grouptoursite.com/tours/icelandchamber or call 1-800-438-7672 and use tour reference number: 70131970.
Or, if you still need to talk, come visit Chamber HQ. We can check the details together. We will also be holding an informational meeting at the Chamber of Commerce on December 20th at 5:30pm for interested travelers.
