launch of AO Startup This is the latest step in Tennis Australia’s innovation programme, helping start-ups to pilot cutting-edge technologies in AO and other areas of Tennis Australia’s business.
Calyx will be behind the scenes at AO 2023 to footprint food menus and detail environmental impacts such as carbon emissions, biodiversity and water. Its aim is the sustainability of the foods that will appear on food menus in the future, and to enable consumers to make informed choices.
“The food we eat is a major contributor to biodiversity loss on a global scale and is a major contributor to greenhouse gas emissions. will help us understand how our food choices affect climate change,” said Tennis Australia’s Sustainability Director. Matthew Nicholas Said.
“Nearly a million fans visit AO each year. We love the idea of increasing our understanding of the environmental impact of our food choices through impact transparency. or carbon footprint labeling.” CEO Lauren Branson Said.
Branson has spent more than 20 years in biodiversity and conservation and has seen firsthand the impact of climate change on biodiversity and the functioning of ecosystems. This led him to develop Calyx, a company dedicated to using data-driven insights to reduce the impact of our food system on the planet’s boundaries.
