Using 1000 recycled aluminum cans melted in a DIY furnace, the molten aluminum was first cast into bars and then re-cast into final guitar parts ready for finishing and assembly. “Holding and playing this guitar will not turn your hands black. Perhaps over time this can work as the surface corrodes. More on this in the follow up video (link in description). Did I mention I considered anodizing or clear coating but decided instead to go for a sleek look So far the only downside to aluminum is my hands get pretty cold while playing But after about 10 minutes of playing, your body heats up the guitar unnoticeably.
